Overview

This itinerary is intended for those to spend one day covering a great walk in Ihlara Valley, the deepest underground city of the region, Güzelyurt a cute town facing inactive volcano Mt. Hasan, an underground linseed oil factory, a crater lake, and of course taking splendid photos of your visit to Cappadocia.

You will drive to spots and walk to explore natural and historical heritage. A bewildering underground dwelling, Derinkuyu; dove cots and rock-cut churches on the cliffs; old and evacuated settlement areas; unusually sculpted rocks out of volcanic lava by nature itself; an almost 3,5 km walk in Ihlara Gorge; the church of st. George of Cappadocia in Güzelyurt town where untill 1924 the Christian population outnumbered that of Muslims are all awaiting you there!

Fields of patatoes, grains, beans or strawberries seasonaly grown on the fertile lands laden with minerals will be accompanying.

NOTICE: Guided Private Tours Team do kindly suggest you not enter the underground cities if you have claustrophobia, heart attack risk, pregnancy and/or asthma. Just in case, inform your tour guide in advance or mail Guided Private Tours for solutions.
